Hi all,
Not sure if you've seen these in the other forums so thought I would post it here. This is a project I've been working on and its finally almost complete.
Christopher Reeve as Superman - scaled to exactly 1:18 so he is just over 4 inches tall.
I've always loved the Palitoy / Kenner Star Wars packaging style so I've "continued" their range and added Superheroes into the mix. I kept the "racetrack" and imagined it to be a "brand" style that Kenner / Palitoy used on their other toy lines for consistency in appearance. In reality, love the racetrack design so much that I just couldn't figure out what else to do as none of my mock-ups without it looked as good.
Feel free to drop me a line if you're interested in what you see:
chris.king2@blueyonder.co.uk
Thanks!
Chris

I've done Palitoy cards AND Kenner cards for all characters.
Here's the 1989 Batman version which I'll be using with my Mattel DC Multiverse 4" Keaton Batman figure. It has a nice dark "Burton-esque" vibe to it which contrasts well with the Superman The Movie card.

Awesome looking cards, I wish they had used that style of packaging on the "official" release!

Thanks. That's why I did my own. Now it can look much better on display.

Those cards are fantastic. Makes me want to go watch Superman and Superman II.

I'm closing the list on these. Valuable lesson learned about spending a lot of money on a commission that turned out to be of little interest to anyone except me. Sadly. that means I won't be doing the other characters. At least I've got some nice cards to look at.

Here's my "rough" painted Superman figure (I'm no painter) on my custom Kenner Superman The Movie card alongside a "Smith Lord Creations" Kenner Stormtrooper carded figure. Their figures are professionally made at a factory in China but I'm thrilled to be able to say that my card is every bit as authentic looking and has a neater trimming job and shelf hanger hole punched. LOL.

Jim Bowers from www.capedwonder.com just received his figures and cards. In his own words, here's what he had to say about them:
"Hi Chris! Wow! Wow!
Absolutely marvelous!!!!!!
Thanks SO much! What an amazing project!!!!! You deserve a rousing applause!
Your cards are absolutely perfect. I feel like I just opened a package from 1978!!!"

Here's the latest card - TRON (Can't decide on blue or green figure background).
Also, first progress photo of Lou Ferrigno Incredible Hulk 1:18 scale figure.
I think the blue would match Tron but might not pop as much. You might try orange or red if you want the figure to pop against the color. Great work, by the way!

A really generous customer who purchased some of my cardbacks sent a Batman 1989 and Superman The Movie cardback to Michael at Retroblasting. Here's a link to their review of my cards. They actually confuse my cards with the cards that are being professionally produced in China by another UK fan (Stan Solo Creations and Smith Lord Creations), so that was a huge compliment for them to think that my cards were up to the same standard as those.

Here's some 9 inches tall prints of my Superman and Hulk figure (alongside the 1:18 versions). Also showing two different paintjobs on my 1:18 scale Chris Reeve Euperman. The figure on the left is the closest representation to the actual colors of the costume, but the photos on the right are probably what a lot of people "think" it should look like. Interest that both artists were given the same color reference but ended up with very different blues.
